Topic:	My Favourite Hobbies
Content Standard:	4.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils       will be able to enjoy and appreciate rhymes,       poems and songs.
Learning Standards:	4.1.1  Able to enjoy action songs, jazz chants and poems            through non-verbal response. 4.1.2 Able to sing action songs, recite jazz chants and          poems with correct pronunciation, rhythm and          intonation.
Objectives:	By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to produce creative works based on hobbies.
Time :	60 Minutes

Stage 1: Set Induction 1.    Teacher shows pictures of hobbies on the picture cards. 2.    Teacher asks pupils  what             are the people in the pictures                doing. 3.    Pupils will name the hobbies in the pictures shown.	Introduction to the topic	Teaching aids: Picture card

Stage 2: Show Time 1.    Divide pupils into three groups. 2.     Each group then selects             the jazz chant that they             have learnt or created. 3.     Each group performs the             jazz chant.	Eg.       All :  Reading , jogging , fishing,         Cooking . cycling , painting. B :   I like reading (2x) do you? G:   Yes, I do (2X) I like reading. All :  Reading , jogging , fishing.         Cooking , cycling , painting G:    I like jogging (2X) do you? B:    No , I don’t  (2x) I don’t like          jogging All : Reading , jogging , fishing.        Cooking , cycling , painting	Teaching aids: Lyrics of jazz chant.
Stage 3: Guessing Game ( Hobby ) 1.    Pupils will be divided into two groups, group A and group B Each group will discuss on the actions they are going to perform to another group. 2.    One pupil from  group A comes out  and do the action. 3.    Pupils from group B have to guess what his / her hobby is. 4.    If they get the correct answer the game will continue with the other members from the same group. 5.    Then the game will continue with the members from group B.	Teacher evaluates pupils activities. Teacher guides pupils with some clues if the group cannot get the answer.

Stage 4: Produce creative works based on hobbies Making A Mask 1.    Teacher distributes a piece of paper plate, coloured paper  and a string to each pupil. 2.       Teacher shows on how to make a mask step by step while pupils follow after the teacher. 3.    Pupils put on the masks on their faces.	Instructions on making a mask. 1.    Draw ears , nose and whiskers on coloured paper. Cut them out. 2.    Paste ears , nose and whiskers on paper plate. 3.    Draw the mouth and teeth. 4.    Cut  two holes for eyes. 5.    Punch two holes and tie a string.	Materials: A paper plate Coloured  paper Glue Scissors String Coloured pencils
Closing 1.    Teacher asks pupils what are the benefits of having hobbies.	Teacher explains to the pupils some of the benefits.
