Lesson Objectives :	By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:           (i) listen to and repeat after teacher           (ii) read aloud with correct pronunciation and intonation           (iii)Recognize words

Teaching Aids :	picture cards, quiz

SET INDUCTION (5 Minutes)	1. Teacher asks students about their previous knowledge/lesson. 2. Students answers teacher’s question. 3.Teacher shows pictures of animals that the students have learned in their previous lesson. 4. Students answers teacher’s question. 5. Teacher asks about the topic /lesson that they would learn today. 6. Students answers teacher’s questions.	Teaching aides : Pictures of animals / drawing of animals Eg: Tortoise        Snake       Chicken
ACTIVITY 1 (20 Minutes)	1.Teacher teaches students on nouns (names of animals). 2. Students repeat after the teacher. 3. Teacher stressed on spelling . 4. Students spell words that they have learned.	- Repetition -Grammar –nouns
ACTIVITY 2 (15 Minutes)	1. Teacher divides students into 3 groups. 2. Teacher launches quiz regarding topic learnt 3.The Group with the most points win	Teaching aides Poison box EMK
ACTIVITY 3 (15 Minutes)	1. Teacher asks students to spell words learnt. 2. Students spell the words individually according to the lesson learnt. 3.Teacher praises students
CLOSURE	1. Teacher and students reflect on the lesson learnt for the day. 2. Teacher determines and make sure that the objectives for the lesson achieved	Reflection
